Glamping Features

  • Tents: Ready by Thursday evening.

  • Bedding: Includes a duvet, comforter, and fleece throw, keeping you warm even in temperatures as low as 0°C.

  • Amenities:

    • Exclusive glamping-only toilets (provided by Coast to Coast).

    • Communal marquees for shelter from sun or rain (weather permitting).

    • Complimentary cold drinks in a large chilly bin.

  • Additional Perks: Lights, furnishings, and pleasant surprises await inside your tent.

What to Bring

  • Toiletries

  • Clothes suitable for all weather conditions (warm, waterproof, and windproof layers).

  • Food (breakfast especially, dinner is available nearby), cooking equipment, cutlery, and crockery.

Cancellation Policy

  • More than 4 months before the event: 25% of total cost.

  • 3–4 months: 50%.

  • 2–3 months: 75%.

  • Less than 1 month: 100%.

Arrival and Departure

  • Arrival: Tents are ready by Thursday evening. Feel free to arrive early to enjoy the environment and settle in.
  • Departure: On Saturday, staff begin packing down at 06:30. Please vacate your tent by 09:00.
  • Note: Wake-up times on Saturday may be early (e.g. 04:00), as many prepare for the second day of the Coast to Coast.

Site Facilities

  • Potable water truck available Friday morning.

  • Food and drink vendors on-site Friday (breakfast, lunch & dinner).

  • Cold river for swimming or cleansing.

  • Parking available close to your tent.

  • Good cellphone reception, though networks may become overwhelmed due to the large crowd (basic calls/texts are most reliable).

  • Clear signage for the glamping village, visible from the Waimakariri SH73 road bridge.

Important Notes

  • Be prepared for any weather conditions. February weather at Klondyke can range from heavy rain to snow.

  • While we strive for a perfect experience, nature and large events can bring unexpected surprises.

  • Enjoy your time without worrying about set-up or pack-down – we’ve got it all covered!
